Here we have a step-up booster module. You could use this as a DIY regulated power supply. Boost 3.7V Lithiums to 5V for most mobile applications, or you could boost a smaller source to 12V to power a laptop.

This unit is easy to use with its built in LED Volt meter and will function with a wide input voltage range (3 - 35VDC) however the LED screen will not function if the input voltage drops below 4V.

There are buttons to select input or output voltage for display on the Voltmeter and a potentiometer to set the output voltage.

Please ensure that output voltage is set higher than input voltage.

Step-Up Power Supply and Voltmeter

In the unlikely event that you need to calibrate the Voltmeter please refer to the following instructions
  • Press the right button to light the "OUT" LED. The unit will now display output voltage.
  • Press the right button for more than 2 seconds and release. The LED screen and "OUT" LED should blink.
  • You are now in calibration mode. Right button Adds. Left button subtracts.
  • As one press of a button increases or decreases by less than 0.1V, you would need a few presses to adjust the voltmeter reading.
  • To exit calibration mode, press the right button for more than 2 seconds and release.
  • Press the right button to light the "IN" LED. The unit will now display input voltage.
  • Press the right button for more than 2 seconds and release. The LED screen and "IN" LED should blink.
  • You are now in calibration mode. Right button Adds. Left button subtracts.
  • As one press of a button increases or decreases by less than 0.1V, you would need a few presses to adjust the voltmeter reading.
  • To exit calibration mode, press the right button for more than 2 seconds and release.
